“The real heroes of our story are the local organizations who have embraced my dream and made it their own.”
St. Marys Imagination Library Fund
This program was started locally by Chantal Lynch of Hyggeligt Fabrics and community member, Dennis DesRosiers, to encourage early literacy in all families in St. Marys.
Most of the Imagination Libraries across Canada need to raise money every year to purchase the books for local families to enjoy, but Chantal and Dennis had a bigger vision. They wanted to make this program self-sustaining and created the St. Marys Imagination Library Fund.
The St. Marys Imagination Library Fund is an endowment fund held within the Stratford Perth Community Foundation, a charitable public foundation serving our region. Donations made to the Fund are invested and a portion of the investment income earned will provide a grant to the St. Marys Imagination Library Program every single year, ensuring there will always be books for the children of St. Marys.
$250 for 250 Kids Campaign
It costs nearly $250 per child, to provide them with a free, monthly book for five years. Which means, to support 250 kids each year, the St. Marys Imagination Library Fund has a goal to reach $300,000 to make this program self-sustaining. We need your help!
The team at St. Marys Imagination Library is challenging the community members to donate $250 to support this reading program for 250 kids. All donations will be generously matched by Dennis DesRosiers.
